Note di degustazione
Bright medium red. Perfumed scents of red and black fruits lifted by spices; much more aromatic today than the Nuits villages . In a fine-grained, elegant style; not hugely concentrated or fleshy but the juicy raspberry and cherry fruit flavors convey good energy. The tannins are nicely supported by tangy berry fruit. This village wine tightened up dramatically with air.

(this and the following wines had not yet been racked at the time of my November visit): Bright, moderately saturated red. A wild note of reduction to the aromas of black raspberry, licorice and dark chocolate. Sweet and fine-grained, and suaver than the Nuits villages as there's much more mineral energy here. Nicely concentrated, firmly tannic and persistent on the aftertaste. The crop level here was 38 hectoliters per hectare, according to Forey.
(from 10 separate parcels of vines, most of which are located in Flagey). Mild reduction presently flattens the underlying fruit but there is good freshness and punch to the finer and better delineated medium weight flavors that conclude in a complex, balanced and slightly austere finale. This too will need a few years of age. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com
