Punteggio 91-93/100 · Da bere 2018-2030, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2016

The 2015 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru les Champeaux has a ripe, almost lactic bouquet bursting with vibrant, shimmering red fruit laced with orange rind and crushed rose petal aromas. The palate is crisp and finely structured on the entry. There is plenty of energy here and it feels very tensile all the way through to the linear, correct and precise finish. The sweetness neatly counterbalances the structure and there is a sense of masculinity here that seems more palpable compared to Duroché's other crus.

Punteggio 89-91/100 · Allen Meadows, Burghound

(from a .15 ha parcel). A pungent nose displays notes of wood and reduction that introduce sleek, restrained and mineral-inflected medium weight flavors that possess a lovely sense of underlying tension on the earthy and distinctly mineral and sauvage-inflected finale. Duroché’s prediction that his 2015s should drink well young but age well should certainly apply here. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com

Duroche - Producer
Domaine Duroche

Domaine Duroché has, under Pierre Duroché, become one of the most sought-out and respected wine domaines in Gevrey-Chambertin. The wines are delicate and detailed, yet with old-vine intensity, a clear sense of place and style – and it’s easy to see why they’ve rapidly become so in-demand.
