Note di degustazione
Bright ruby-red. Aromas of cassis, black cherry, licorice and spicy oak come across as a bit less deep than those of the Nuits Boudots. Juicy and smooth but restrained, with a bit of chocolatey oak apparent today. Very ripe but not especially thick. Finishes with building tannins that are a bit less harmonious than those of the Boudots, as well as a repeating chocolate note. Conveys the warmth of the vintage, with moderate density. This is the first time that Meunier included some young vines in the blend, and they were picked at close to 14%.

This too is mildly reduced. The medium weight plus flavors possess a bit more size, weight and power than those of the Boudots though at the same time less refined as the finish here is serious and firm, indeed it’s even chewy yet manages to remain balanced even with the presence of a touch of warmth.
