Punteggio 96/100 · Da bere 2025-2050, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Apr 2018

Jadot's 2015 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru is stunningly good in the 2015 vintage, bursting from the glass with a primary bouquet of candied red cherry, plum, rose petal, coniferous forest floor and a hint of the black truffle to come, judiciously framed by new oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, ample and deep, with wonderful concentration and depth, its generous core of ripe fruit underpinned by bright, racy acids. This still need time to come together—15 years, ideally—but its potential is immense.

Bright, dark red. Raspberry, crushed stone, licorice and spices on the precise nose; less extravagantly aromatic than the Chapelle but pure and complex. Sweeter and plusher as well as a bit darker and more medicinal on entry than the subtler Chapelle, then rich, broad and powerful but lively in the middle palate, conveying an impression of medicinal reserve that's buffered by the thickness of the vintage. Finishes with palate-dusting noble tannins and outstanding unflagging persistence. I suspect that the Chapelle will make for a sexier drink over the next 10 to 12 years but this beauty may surpass it in the long run.

(destemmed): Bright, moderately saturated medium red. Alluring, liqueur-like aromas of strawberry, raspberry, cranberry and rose petal are lifted by pungent soil-driven minerality. Wonderfully silky yet utterly weightless, with the urgent flavors of raspberry, pomegranate, spices and flowers conveying outstanding clarity and stunning high-toned sex appeal. Finishes with utterly suave, noble, broad tannins and a vibrant suggestion of red licorice. Wonderfully sappy, elegant wine. Barnier notes that Jadot's Clos de Bèze is typically quite open during its time in the cellar and doesn't really shut down after the bottling.

The 2015 Chambertin Clos de Bèze Grand Cru has another very composed and delineated bouquet that for me attests more complexity and terroir-expression than the Chambertin. This is just exquisite - you can feel the vineyard here. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannin, a keen line of acidity, very supple tannins with a surfeit of finesse and refinement on the finish. This is one of the best releases from Louis Jadot this vintage out of over 100 samples reviewed. Dec 2016, www.robertparker.com, Drink: 2020-2051
