Note di degustazione
Mont Redon's 2013 Chateauneuf du Pape has developed well, now showing notes of stewed red berries, leather and clove. Medium to full-bodied, it's reasonably concentrated and silky on the finish. While mature, it should continue to drink well for several more years. General Manager Pierre Fabre points out that the 2013 is—along with 2021—one of the latest harvests in the past two decades. "In 2013, we had a lot of coulure in the Grenache. If we had a normal crop, the Grenache never would have ripened."

Bright ruby. Mineral-accented raspberry, cherry and floral pastille aromas are complicated by subtle garrigue and spice qualities. Seamless, focused and sweet on the palate, offering potent red berry preserve and floral pastille flavors sharpened and lifted by juicy acidity. Finishes impressively long and precise, featuring slow-building tannins and resonating floral and spice notes.
Brilliant ruby-red. Heady aromas of candied red berries, incense and licorice are complicated by notes of lavender and cola. Lush, deeply flavored and broad, offering intense black and blue fruit flavors and an exotic floral pastille nuance. Finishes smooth, smoky and extremely long, with resonating sweetness, a hint of licorice and even tannins. Shows a lot more dark fruit character than I'm used to seeing in wines from this property.
