Note di degustazione
Healthy dark red. Raspberry, flowers and earth on the nose, plus a touch of oaky sweetness. Juicy, penetrating wine, with a restrained sweetness countered by a peppery aspect. On the lean, slightly green side but shows good intensity to the flavors of red cherry and flowers. Finishes with slightly dry-edged tannins.

Blackcurrant and cranberry. Much darker fruit than most 2013s, it seems. Not austere though – in fact, the palate has a generous, smooth structure and good length. (RH)
From 40- to 80-year-old vines, the 2013 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes has an attractive marine influence on the nose that displays moderate intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, well-judged acidity and a harmonious if slightly simple finish. Effortless.
Bright mid cherry red. Dusty dark-red peppery fruit. Such fine texture, gentle, more fruit than structure even now. Overall relatively light but all in balance. You don't need to wait long for this. (JH)
