2013 Chambertin Clos de Beze

Bright, full red. Great sex appeal to the aromas and flavors of exotic raspberry coulis, lichee, rose petal and crushed stone. Large-scaled, plush and rich, showing an almost confectionery sweetness somehow balanced by perfectly integrated acidity. Voluminous without being at all heavy. Still, this wine will need at least a decade to lose some of its baby fat. Perhaps most impressive today on the slowly mounting, remarkably sappy back end, where the tannins are buried under a wave of fruit.
