Punteggio 95/100 · Da bere 2026, Virginie Boone, jebdunnuck.com, Mar 2026

A mild spring resulted in abundant fruit set this vintage, followed by warm summer days and cool nights during the growing season. The grapes were able to hang through a lovely fall and were picked in late September/early October. The full-bodied 1997 Pinot Noir Jensen Vineyard is softly enduring with very well-defined cranberry and cherry, rich yet cohesive and elegant in its older age. Drink now.

So broad, ripe and lush, this generous wine oozes with strawberry jam and cherry preserves alongside mature tannins and a suave texture. Full-bodied, rich and almost sweet in dried-fruit character. Gorgeous to sip. Drink now.

Punteggio 90/100 · Da bere 2015-2017, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Sep 2015

The 1997 Pinot Noir Jensen Vineyard is deep, dense and powerful, with considerable intensity, but also slightly drying tannins that suggest it is best enjoyed sooner rather than later, before the fruit loses too much more of its depth. Sweet tobacco, mint, dried flowers and licorice add shades of nuance on the powerful finish. The tannins are a bit dry today.

This minty-styled, dark ruby-colored Jensen Pinot Noir reveals notes of Japanese green tea and spearmint as well as a lean, medium-bodied, dense, tart finish. It should age well for 10-12 years, but how much charm will emerge remains debatable.
