Tasted blind. Mid crimson. Rather light, simple nose. Far fewer tannins than most but there’s not that much interest either. (JR)

The medium to deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Larmande has a nose of warm plums and baked blackberries with touches of spice cake, balsamic and charcuterie. The medium to full-bodied palate is soft and plush with open-knit berry preserves flavors and a savory finish.
Saint-Emilion is arguably the most quality rich region in 2015 and the 2015 Château Larmande is certainly worth your money. Giving up lots of smoked black fruits, cherries, chocolate and hints of spring flowers, this beauty hits the palate with surprising elegance and freshness, as well as fine tannin and nicely integrated acidity. It’s a lively, classy 2015 to enjoy over the coming 15+ years.
