Note di degustazione
The 2015 Godeau is just as impressive from bottle as it was from barrel. Inky, deep and intensely aromatic, it makes a strong first impression. Although the 2015 is decidedly sumptuous, it also has quite of tannic bite and overall verticality. Readers will want to cellar this explosive Saint-Émilion for at least a few years. The blend is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc.

A Stéphane Derenoncourt wine. Medicinal smell. Elastoplast? Overripe notes. Severe on the palate. Harsh tasting experience. (JR)
The 2015 Godeau offers notable density and impeccable overall balance. Violet, lavender and a host of floral notes give the Godeau much of its aromatic presence. Layers of inky blue/purplish fruit build to the striking, expressive finish. This is very nicely done. The blend is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc brought in between September 28 and October 9 from a steep hillside site in Saint-Émilion. Julien Lavenu is the consulting winemaker.
A very fruity style with plum and blackberry aromas and flavors. Full and savory. Mar 2016, www.JamesSuckling.com
