The 2015 Haut-Condissas had been bottled a week before my visit. That said, there does not appear to be too much bottle shock, and there are lovely black cherry, cassis fruit tinged with incense and violets. The oak is neatly integrated here. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, an attractive saline note that lends this 2015 sappiness and neatly counterbalances the concentration of the vintage. I appreciate the focus here and the nascent energy, a Haut-Condissas that should easily give 20+ years of pleasure. Tasted at the Haut-Condissas vertical at the property.

Enticing and expressive, the 2015 Haut Condissas has come together beautifully in bottle. There is lovely depth and juiciness to the fruit that plays off some of wine's heartier qualities very nicely in a flavorful Médoc Cru Bourgeois that will drink well for another decade-plus. Haut Condissas is equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Alain Raynaud consults.
Very dark crimson. Ripe Cabernet aromas – rather seductive. Spreads impressively across the palate with real energy. Just slightly sandpapery tannins on the end but a good effort. (JR)
One of the surprises of the vintage, the 2015 Haut Condissas offers notable depth and intensity. Dark red cherry, iron, cedar and tobacco open up as the wine shows off its superb persistence. The 2015 is a bit rustic, yet it is full of personality and character. The integrity of the fruit and overall persistence are remarkable for the northern Médoc. The blend is equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Alain Raynaud is the consulting winemaker.
