The 2013 Chardonnay Ross Station Estate is another of the deeper, richer wines in the range. Still not fully formed, the Ross Station needs to be opened in advance or aged in bottle to allow a slight hint of reduction to more fully integrate. Orange blossom, honey, almond and spice notes meld into the powerful, resonant finish.
The 2013 Chardonnay Ross Station Estate is quite beautiful in this vintage. Once again, the overall impression is of roundness, texture and mostly soft contours, with a little extra kick from the vibrancy of the vintage. Hints of orange peel, butter and smoke are laced into the expressive, pliant finish.
