Tasted blind. Dense and exciting and racy. Really very fine Sauternes. Edge of stewed plums but with excellent acidity. Real pace – sweetness but not at all sickly. (JR)

The 2015 Sigalas Rabaud has a more primal bouquet with wild honey, peach skin, lanolin and quince aromas that gain intensity in the glass. The palate is well balanced with a lightly spiced opening. It's a little petrolly in style and just misses some freshness on the toffee-tinged finish. Tasted blind at the 2015 Bordeaux Ten-Year-On tasting.
The 2015 Sigalas Rabaud is a comedown after the superb 2014. I still find this lacking complexity on the nose and unequivocally lacking the same brightness and verve. The palate is smooth and well-balanced, very honeyed and pure, though slightly cloying on the finish. This is ready to drink now before you grab the 2014. Tasted from a bottle sent directly from Sigalas Rabaud to the UK.
