Note di degustazione
The 2015 Le Sartre is a powerful, hearty wine. Leather, smoke, chocolate, licorice and earthy notes add aromatic intensity to the potent dark fruit. The 2015 shows better from bottle than it did from barrel. Although a bit rustic, all the elements are nicely balanced. The blend is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. Alain Raynaud is the consulting winemaker. This property has since been acquired by Bernard Magrez.

The 2015 Le Sartre is a an attractive wine, but all the elements aren't fully put together. There is only modest complexity, depth and nuance here today. The blend is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot. Alain Raynaud is the consulting winemaker.
Plenty of scented oak which is kept in balance by bumptious and satisfying fruit. Rich and fragrant – really motors through the palate, yet is not domineering. Very nicely done, a good deal of wine to enjoy here. (RH)
