Note di degustazione
70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc. Cousins Frédéric Le Clerc and Benjamin Richer des Forges have 94 ha under vine at La Tour de By, near Begadan. The property is situated a mile or so from the river. Notably fragrant. Well melded, and already a fine drink. Masses of fruit with tannins much in retreat. Lightly inky on the end, but this would gladden the heart of any claret lover. (JR)

Medium-bodied notes of ripe cherry and strawberry fruits, flowers, and a hint of sappy herbs emerge from the 2015 Château La Tour de By, which is medium-bodied, fresh, and elegant on the palate. With moderate ripeness and a straightforward, delicious style, drink it over the coming 6-7 years.
Quite blueish deep crimson. Fragrant, classical 'luncheon claret'. Nothing wrong with that if that is your yen. Far from luscious on the palate, this wine needs to soften a little and lose its rather sandy tannins. But it should be a lightweight charmer eventually. (JR)
Healthy mid crimson. Nicely knit on the nose already. Classic, fully ripe claret that’s so ripe it is almost drinkable already! Sandy tannins on the end. Appetising even if not enthralling. Zesty. GV (JR)
