The 2015 La Rose Figeac possesses notable depth to match its powerful, concentrated personality. Dark cherry, plum, violet, mint and licorice are some of the signatures. The 2015 is an intriguing wine, but it will be even better once the tannins come into better balance. This is a decidedly structure Pomerol with the potential to age nicely.
The 2015 Château la Rose Figeac has a pretty and well defined bouquet that as its name implies, seems to flit across Saint Emilion and Pomerol. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin. It is not a complex Pomerol, though it has clearly not been pushed too much in the winery, so that the finish has satisfying clarity and freshness. Enjoy this over 6-8 years.
