Punteggio 16/20 · Da bere 2024-2030, Jancis Robinson MW, Feb 2025

Tasted blind. Looks evolved. Not much perfume though light tea-leaves scent … Drying finish but persistent. Needs food. There’s a slight lack of fruit in the middle. (JR)

The 2015 Hosanna has a delectable, well-defined and complex bouquet with red berry fruit, freshly tilled loam, mocha and light irony scents percolating through with time. This appears to have gained delineation in recent years. The palate is medium-bodied, lightly peppered and beautifully balanced, with fine-boned tannins and a very satisfying, harmonious finish. This comes thoroughly recommended. Tasted at the 2015 Ten-Year-On tasting at Bordeaux Index.

The 2015 Hosanna has a generous bouquet of brambly red fruit, rose petal and hints of fresh fig, all well defined with a ferrous note emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a fine bead of acidity, rounded and velvety smooth. A plush, sensual finish is less mineral driven than I noticed before. This is an excellent Hosanna. I expect that score to go up with bottle age. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting.

Château Hosanna 1:1
Hosanna

Château Hosanna is a relatively young wine label in Pomerol, but one with some of the richest heritage in the entire region. It couldn’t be better situated with Château Lafleur to the north, Vieux Château Certan to the south and flanked on either side by Pétrus and Château Lafleur-Pétrus.
