Classic and elegant. Black-fruited, subtle and black-peppery fresh at the same time. Sleek tannins encompassing a left-bank minerality inside glowing fruit. More-ish and discreetly attractive. (TC)

Surprisingly accessible – ripe yet fresh with the fruit masking a light to medium charge of fine tannins. Confident and appetising. But perhaps not for the very long term. (JR)
The 2015 de France is a terrific everyday drinker. There is more than enough depth to the dark cherry, plum, smoke, leather and earthy notes to support at least a handful of years of fine drinking. This rustic, flavorful Pessac Léognan is best suited to the dinner table. The blend is 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot.
The medium garnet-purple colored 2015 de France opens with black plums and raspberry leaves with damp soil, dried herbs and beef notes. Medium-bodied, it's fresh and elegant with chewy tannins and a mineral finish.
