Note di degustazione
The 2015 Couhins-Lurton is supple and engaging, with terrific depth and fine overall balance at this level. I would prefer to drink it over the next few years, while the red plum fruit remains vibrant. The blend is 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon.

The medium garnet-purple colored 2015 Couhins-Lurton gives up warm plums, cherries, mulberries and earth scents with touches of herbs and cigars. Medium to full-bodied, it's mouth-filling and chewy with good concentration and a long savory finish.
A tiny production cuvee made with help from the Michel Rolland team, the 2015 Couhins Lurton is a ripe, sexy effort that gives up impressive amounts of black cherry and blackcurrant fruit as well as more complex notes of roasted herbs, licorice, and earth with time in the glass. With medium to full-bodied richness, sweet tannin, and a big finish, it’s a terrific wine that’s going to put a smile on your face over the coming 5-7 years.
Pale and glowing. Rich and heady on the nose. Really does remind me of our trip to Bordeaux in July 2015! A real charmer. Already open – though some may object to its potency. With its figgy character it reminds me a bit of a top Napa Sauvignon such as Eisele/Araujo. (JR)
