(just 5% new oak): Red fruits and flowers on the scented nose. Juicy, spicy, aromatic wine with good acidity but modest depth. On the light side but finishes with lingering red cherry and raspberry perfume.

The 2014 Gevrey-Chambertin En Champ, which comes from vines planted between 1969 and 1973, is very pure on the nose with mineral-infused strawberry fruit that feels tensile. The palate is very well defined with supple tannin, a fine thread of acidity, certainly more weight and volume than the village cru with a tender finish that I hope will develop more matière during its evolution.
