Note di degustazione
Good deep red. Terroir -driven aromas of smoke, soil and stone, with fruit in the background. Silky and spherical on the palate, showing terrific spicy depth to the flavors of smoky minerality and earth. Dense, thick and solid yet with a light touch. I don't yet find the floral lift of the very best versions of Clos de Bèze but this wine shows enticing sweetness and soil character.

The 2014 Chambertin Clos de Beze Grand Cru has a mixture of red and black fruit on the nose, veering more to the former with time, just a touch of iris and dried blood emerging with time, though very subtle. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe and rounded red berry fruit, a lot of new oak evident at the moment and that will need a few years to integrate. There is a pleasant spicy touch towards the finish that lingers in the mouth, completing a well crafted Clos-de-Bèze.
