Note di degustazione
Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, Damoy's 2014 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru has a very refined bouquet with cranberry, bergamot and subtle sous bois scents, the oak very well integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with a slight lactic note on the entry, and this detracts from its precision and clarity. There is certainly impressive weight on the finish, but it needs several years to develop personality. It does improve and gain more precision in the glass and could merit a higher score in the future. Tasted September 2017.

Big and bold with some rather rasping tannins on the end. Very youthful but I don’t think it will ever offer transports of delight. (JR)
