2014 Chambolle Musigny

(bottled the day before my visit; Alain Meunier vinifies three lieux-dits together, one of them featuring rocky calcaire soil): Good deep red. High-pitched aromas of blackberry, licorice, violet and mint. Juicy and on the light side but with good intensity to the flavors of black fruits, mint, licorice and bitter chocolate. Shows a distinctly salty character and finishes with slightly drying tannins.
