The 2014 Bourgogne Aligoté has a straightforward bouquet, surprisingly malic and not fully articulating the grape variety as well as it might. There's a touch of struck match. The palate has a slightly bitter entry and fine depth with just a slight reduction on the finish. Not bad, though not as memorable as others.

The 2014 Bourgogne Aligoté, which was bottled in July, has a terse, stony bouquet with scents of cold granite, quite steely and almost Puligny-like in style. The palate is a little shrill on the entry. There is good acidity here with sour lemon and freshly squeezed lime on the finish.
Bottled July 2015. Diam closure. Pale greenish straw. Sweet and simple with lots of juice and charm. A bit chewy on the end. Some spine and length. Better finish. (JR)
