2014 Nuits St Georges Les Allots

(not yet racked): Reduced aromas of black fruits and smoke; shows an inky note that I did not find in the wines from Gevrey-Chambertin. Sweet and silky in the mouth, with a surprising light tough to the blackberry and licorice flavors. Conveys an impression of volume without weight thanks to nicely integrated acidity. Finishes with a firm dusting of tannins. This should make a fine village wine.
