Note di degustazione
Good deep red. Dark aromas of black cherry, licorice and menthol. Supple, plush and fat with black fruit and menthol flavors. Quite long on the aftertaste but a bit dominated in the early going by its strong spine of tannins. From Le Petit Maupertuis, situated just below Grands-Echézeaux.

The 2014 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru has an understated and quite elegant, well defined bouquet with dark berries, raspberry coulis and a touch of cold limestone. The palate is medium-bodied and a bit "stringy" on the entry with chewy tannin, although it develops more detail on the well defined, slightly sinewy finish.
One parcel in Montpertuis. Very deep crimson. Rich and rather majestic. Real substance here. Tastes as though Jean-Marie Fourrier had fun making this wine. (JR)
