Punteggio 91-93/100 · Da bere 2016-2030, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Jan 2015
The 2013 Musigny Grand Cru comes from the holding owned by Christian Confuron, the only vineyard on the right-hand side of the road just above Vougeot Perrieres. The 0.07-hectare of vines were planted in 1990 by his son, Philippe Confuron. So that equates of 180 liters (although this is augmented by the miniscule Pochoret parcel that was purchased in 2014.) It has a fragrant bouquet with brambly red berry fruit augmented with orange rind and hints of marmalade. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, well-judged acidity, moderate complexity with a slightly austere but harmonious finish. It is going to be impossible to find but I think it will ameliorated with the addition of the second parcel next year.
