Note di degustazione
Palish, slightly dull red. Nose dominated by earth, smoke, cinnamon and pepper. Then pliant and smooth in the mouth, with an element of concentration that belies its modest depth of color. Raspberry and spice flavors show good texture and breadth. Finishes with a fine dusting of tannins, repeating notes of spices and earth, and good length and lift.

(made from seven different parcels, including two purchased last year; includes 20% declassified premier cru juice from Baudes and Gruenchers: vinified with 50% stems): Palish red. Musky strawberry, raspberry and licorice aromas are complicated by herbs and earth. Tactile saline and red berry flavors are supported by stony minerality; a more medicinal red cherry note emerged as the wine opened in the glass. Pure, spicy, fruit-driven and persistent--an excellent village wine in the making.
The 2014 Chambolle-Musigny Village includes two new vineyards compared to last year from Les Gruenchers and les Fremiets. It has an attractive bouquet, nicely detailed with wilted rose petals infusing the red berry fruit. The palate is fresh and attractive with crisp, red cherry and strawberry fruit, the 40% new oak a little conspicuous towards the finish, though I think that will be assimilated with 2-3 years in bottle.
