Note di degustazione
Medium red. Pungent aromas of raspberry, red licorice and crushed stone are less fruity and more soil-driven than those of the Suchots; also cooler today and revealing less on the nose. Penetrating and intense but quite backward, with the raspberry and spice flavors joined by saline minerality on the slightly medicinal back end. Excellent density of material here but this is very young.

The 2014 Vosne Romanée 1er Cru les Beaux Monts has a clean and precise bouquet, tightly wound at first, perhaps aromatics with a leash on it, holding it back for now. The palate is well balanced with grippy red berry fruit laced with bay leaf and a touch of sage. It gently builds towards quite a dense finish that is reminiscent of a Malconsorts. Very fine indeed.

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
