Note di degustazione
(aged in 25% new oak; from a single 60-year-old parcel in Bas de Combes; in cuve): Good dark red. Smoky red fruits on the nose. Plush, silky and seamless in the mouth, showing a touch of reduction to the flavors of raspberry, cherry and smoke. Offers good volume and fat in the middle palate but finishes with a firm edge and good digestibility. Has just enough energy to counter its sweetness of fruit. (Don't hesitate to try Cheurlin's Bourgogne, a crunchy, creamy-sweet raspberry bomb with an intriguing touch of salinity. )

This too is agreeably fresh with touch of spice, earth and game adding breadth to the mostly red currant scents that are trimmed in a very subtle application of wood. There is lovely detail to the textured medium weight flavors that are shaped by relatively fine-grained tannins on the balanced and attractively persistent finish. This should also drink well relatively young. Jan 2016, www.burghound.com, Drink: 2019+
