Note di degustazione
The 2014 Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc has a slightly musty bouquet that needs to find more clarity and tension. The palate is medium-bodied with primal green apple and dried honey notes, but it falls away rapidly on the finish. This is a bit disappointing after previous showings. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting.

The 2014 Larrivet Haut Brion Blanc offers attractive scents of citrus fruit, sunflower oil, grilled walnut and just a subtle hint of white chocolate that surfaces with continued aeration. The palate is well balanced with a relatively rich opening compared to its peers, the acidity well judged, hints of clear honey infusing the citrus fruit, a kiss of tropical fruit right on the aftertaste. Probably more forward than other white Pessac-Léognans, I would enjoy this over the next 8 to 10 years.
