Note di degustazione
The 2014 Manoir de Gay offers good depth and juiciness, not to mention considerable near- and medium-term potential. Dark cherry, mint, crushed flowers and savory herbs add lovely nuance. Expressive and open-knit, the 2014 will drink well with minimal cellaring. Today it is quite delicious.

The 2014 Manoir de Gay is a silky, mid-weight Pomerol built on grace. Dried cherries, crushed flowers, spices and sweet tobacco come forward in an attractive, open-knit wine that should drink nicely with minimal cellaring.
The Manoir de Gay 2014 has a crisp, quite focused bouquet with red currants and black cherries coming through with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin, simple red berry fruit with a pleasant, easygoing finish. Fine.

There’s been lots of change at Ch. le Gay since the Parent family arrived in 2002 – with vineyards replanted, the cellars renovated and the winemaking adjusted. No surprise, perhaps, that quality is now higher than ever.
