The softer, more gracious side of Pomerol comes across in the 2014 La Rose Figeac. Sweet tobacco, crushed flowers, red berries, mint and licorice lift from the glass in a lithe, floral Pomerol that emphasizes grace over power. Hints of smoke, graphite and new French oak add darker nuances on the finish, but the 2014 remains quite delicate in style. Tasted two times.
