Tight and fine. Polished and mineral. Much better than many grander 2013s. GV (JR)

The 2013 Grand Village has a light red cherry and bergamot-scented bouquet, the Cabernet Franc showing through nicely. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, a little dryness here perhaps, easy-drinking with a dash of spice on the finish.
77% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Franc. Somewhat herbaceous on the nose, and a little bit of sulphurous reductive stink at first. Much fresher on the palate though. Dry, sticky tannins on the palate. Quite foursquare, though the fruit has plenty of power too. Medium body. (RH)
