A small, special cuvée, the 2009 Sanctus De La Bienfaisance is more Merlot-dominated and comes from a single parcel of older vines. Lots of chocolaty dark fruits, sappy herbs, tobacco, and earthy, cedary notes emerge from the glass, and it's a medium to full-bodied, chunky effort to enjoy over the coming 5-7 years.
