Punteggio 94/100 · Da bere 2026-2055, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Feb 2023

From a vintage that's tensile and tightly wound at this address, the 2013 Griotte-Chambertin Grand Cru unwinds in the glass with scents of sweet red berries and plums mingled with hints of peony, licorice and smoke. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, it's built around a tangy spine of acidity that's integrating nicely as the wine ages. Pure, penetrating and precise, this is a vintage that will delight Burgundy purists, but more patience is required.

Deep, bright red with ruby tones. Darker, riper aromas of kirsch , blueberry and minerals. Densely packed and rather powerful, showing a penetrating quality to the dark fruit and crushed rock flavors. Plenty of oak here but a strong floral quality gives this dense, subtly sweet wine lovely perfumed lift. The best of these 2013s by a clear margin.

The 2013 Griotte-Chambertin is one of the most sensual wines in the cellar today. There is a slight sternness to the Griotte, as there is to all the 2013s here, but at the same time, the textures show a little more generosity and overall amplitude. Citrus peel, mineral and spice overtones add brightness on the finish.

Bright healthy red. Nicely ripe, ethereal aromas of raspberry and crushed stone, plus a whiff of animal fur. Densely packed, supple and deep, offering terrific inner-mouth energy to the intense cherry and raspberry fruit flavors. Best today on the perfumed, classy, very primary finish, which features suave tannins and terrific grip and class. This really dances on the palate. Dugat emphasized that this wine will be bottled at 12.5% alcohol or less. I love this style.
