Note di degustazione
Tasted blind at the Southwold Bordeaux tasting. The 2012 Pavillon de Léoville Poyferré has quite an elegant bouquet with well-defined blackberry and wild strawberry fruit, cedar and graphite developing in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a rounded entry, slightly lower acidity than its peers, with a linear and to be brutally honest, rather dour finish. Tasted January 2016.

Tasted blind. Now this seems reasonably ripe! A very good effort for a wine of this appellation and quality. Vigour and potential. (JR)
Dusty dark fruit. Lightish and dry and fresh. Attractive restraint in the winemaking shows here. Just a little insubstantial on the finish. (JH)
Informazioni sul produttore

Ch. Léoville-Poyferré is a Second Growth Saint-Julien property that was once part of the same estate as Ch. Léoville Barton and Ch. Léoville Las Cases. It has the most complex and varied soils of the three and produces the most voluptuous, seductive style of wine.
