Note di degustazione
Good medium red. Tighter on the nose than the Vosne villages , offering scents of cherry, fresh herbs and spicy oak. Similarly redder in its fruit character than the village wine and not quite as high-pitched or sweet in the early going. Finishes juicy and firmly tannic, with sexy saline soil tones. This wine will need time in bottle to absorb its 70% new oak.

(this climat is rich in reddish-brown clay): Good deep red. Dark berries, coffee, licorice and a hint of menthol on the nose. Juicy and spicy on entry, then lightly saline in the middle, relying more on its minerality than on acidity to lift the cassis and pomegranate flavors. Just a tad dry-edged on the back end. The yield here was 33 hectoliters per hectare, vs. 18 to 20 for the Clos Vougeot and Musigny, according to Gros.
