Note di degustazione
The 2013 Clos les Lunelles has one of the most exotic aromatics within Saint Emilion this year, though not without its charms: lascivious blueberry and mulberry scents nicely integrated with the oak that you might expect on a more fruit-driven vintage. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet, candied entry. Fleshy at first and then tapering in towards an edgy, licorice-tinged finish, this Côtes de Castillon deserves another year in bottle before broaching. This is not bad at all considering the vintage.

The 2013 Clos Lunelles impresses for its energy and sense of direction. Violets, lavender, chalk, plums and sweet spices are woven into the pulsating finish. I very much like the sense of energy here. Clos Lunelles is a huge overachiever in this vintage. The blend is 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Tasted two times.
Quite medicinal and hard edged. Very tough going. Not much pleasure here. (RH)
