Punteggio 91/100 · Da bere 2025-2033, Kristaps Karklins, Wine Advocate, Jul 2025

Based on the 2012 vintage and complemented by 50% reserve wines drawn from a perpetual cuvée established in 2007, the latest release of NV Brut Nature BAM! (disgorged in June 2024) delivers aromas of pear and candied orchard fruit mingling with lime zest and green apple. As always, it is sourced from the lieu-dit Four à Chaux – Sables in Oeuilly, a north-facing site planted in 2003 with alternating rows of Pinot Blanc, Arbanne and Petit Meslier—Blanc, Arbanne, Meslier, hence the cuvée’s acronymic name. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, taut and electric, with searing acidity, a tensile core and a chalky finish. This wine has the lowest pH in the range and will appeal primarily to acid devotees; it may come across as somewhat austere to the uninitiated.

Punteggio 94/100 · Da bere 2024-2034, Jeb Dunnuck, Nov 2023

Pale straw with a youthful green tinge, the NV Champagne BAM! Brut Nature has 2011 as its base, with the rest from the perpetual reserve. Very pretty in its aromatics, with fresh pear, lemon curd, sherbet, and a lift of citrus blossoms, it’s medium-bodied and focused, with a refined mousse, an elegantly rounded midpalate, and a clean, saline finish. A very pretty style, it’s drinking well now and will continue to improve if given time over the coming 10 years. Drink 2024-2034. Disgorged June 2022.

This is quite a challenging, bone-dry champagne that is low on fruit (granny-smith apple skin and lime zest) that has striking savory character, and this is the harmonizing element for the very crisp acidity. Good depth at the finish. BAM stands for pinot Blanc, Arbanne and petit Meslier, the three little-known champagne grape varieties that this de facto 2010 vintage wine was based on. Disgorged February 10th, 2020. Drink now.

A dense and fruity Champagne with richness and a compact palate of fine bubbles and complex fruit. Subtle biscuit to the mineral, cooked-apple and spiced-pear flavors with a stone undertone, as well. Drink and enjoy.
