Note di degustazione
Dark cherry, plum, smoke, graphite and game are all fused together in the 2014 Clos Floridène. Sumptuous, round and enveloping, it is absolutely impeccable in its balance. This wine is in a fairly lush style texturally, but it works.

The 2014 Clos Floridène offers lovely depth and nuance, especially at this level. Dark red and purplish-hued stone fruits are pushed forward, with graphite, savory herbs, earthiness, menthol and licorice that add nuance. The long, expressive Cabernet Sauvignon-inflected finish is quite beautiful. This is a gorgeous Pessac-Léognan red from Denis Dubourdieu.
The Clos Floridene 2014 has a crisp, quite minerally bouquet that is well defined and focused. These aromatics possess charm and personality. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, slightly dry tannin but with plenty of Graves-like character coming through on the cool and classic finish. This is a well crafted wine but hey, we take that as given nowadays.
Mid crimson. Medium weight, correct and fresh with good medium oak influence. Reliable even if not thrilling. (JR)
