Note di degustazione
This is a little reticent today though there is some very pure lifted fruit underneath. Cool. Precise and very attractive. And soft and supple in the mouth. Silky. Some depth here and this is very glossy, very Poyferre. Stylish. Joss Fowler, FINE+RARE, April 2015.

The 2014 Léoville Poyferré has a magnificent nose that is a cut above its peers: more concentrated, more delineated and has stunning depth with complexity that only comes through with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, but this Saint-Julien has real backbone and density, with impressive substance towards the finish. One of the best wines on the Left Bank. This is the finest bottle I have tasted, and it is far from representing the best Left Bank in this vintage. Tasted blind at the Southwold 10-Year-On tasting.

Tasted blind. Black with garnet rim. Leafy black fruit scents. Slightly tarry. Compact, fine tannins. Not particularly richly/sweetly fruited at the core but there’s density, balance and harmony for a long life. (JH)
Informazioni sul produttore

Ch. Léoville-Poyferré is a Second Growth Saint-Julien property that was once part of the same estate as Ch. Léoville Barton and Ch. Léoville Las Cases. It has the most complex and varied soils of the three and produces the most voluptuous, seductive style of wine.
