Note di degustazione
The 2014 Monbousquet Blanc has an intriguing bouquet, standoffish at first but some awakening to offer scents of yellow flower, creme brulee, and grilled almonds. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, notes of Golden Delicious, pear and pink grapefruit, although I would have liked to have seen more weight and substance on the finish with that faint tang of lemongrass. Drink over the next couple of years.

Monbousquet's 2014 Blanc d'Exception is an attractive white to drink now and over the next year or two, while the flavors remain bright. Gentle hints of apricot, dried flowers and mint flesh out nicely, with a hint of tropical notes from the Muscadelle. The 2014 appears to be built for near- and medium-term drinking, so I wouldn't wait too long here.
Still rather primal, with a bright white peach note flecked with lemon curd and plantain accents, backed by a whiff of straw and a hint of coconut. This should slowly fill out into a broad, flattering white.—J.M. Wine Spectator, April 2015.
