Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2012 Moonamble Syrah shows a youthfully muted nose accented by subtle black cherry, mulberry and dried sage notes aside nuances of forest floor and pepper. Medium-bodied, it offers plenty of primary fruit flavor in the mouth held up by a medium level of chewy tannins and enough acid to refresh on a finish marked by a very good persistence of black pepper notes.
