Note di degustazione
The 2012 Chapelle de Potensac is a pretty, delicate wine. Crushed flowers, dried roses, cherries and tobacco all lift out of the glass in this aromatically expressive, forward Médoc. This is an attractive, wine although it is lacking a bit in depth. Drink it over the next few years. The blend is 56% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot.

It is amazing that this non-classified growth property even makes a second wine, but Potensac’s 2012 Chapelle de Potensac is a straightforward, picnic-styled effort composed of 55% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. It offers tasty herbaceous black currant and black cherry fruit, medium body and an elegant finish.
Dark crimson. Mainly Merlot and rather oak chips on the nose. Angular and a bit awkward. Wants to make a splash but producer- rather than consumer-led. Harsh drying sandpaper finish. (JR)
