2009 Bonnes Mares Vieilles Vignes

Bright medium red. Tangy red fruits, flint and rose petal on the nose; I would have picked this blind as an Amoureuses. Creamy, saline, sappy and refined; a wonderfully classy version of Bonnes-Mares, which Laurent notes started very light. This stains the entire palate with pungent red fruits, flowers and smoky minerality and really perks up the salivary glands on the gripping finish.
