Note di degustazione
Bright medium red. Musky, reduced aromas of smoky minerals, mocha, strawberry and underbrush. Juicy and firm but with a green quality to its moderately sweet red fruit and smoke flavors. Shows a lovely fine-grained texture and solid underlying stony minerality but does not appear to have the flavor development or complexity of a riper year. Finishes with dusty tannins. This was a cipher a year ago from barrel and is still a bit sullen in the bottle. I wanted more fruit and grip.

Bright red-ruby. Very reduced nose is dominated by musky minerality. Quite backward and inscrutable today, showing a strong element of rocky minerality and complicating saline and menthol notes. Finishes firmly tannic, even a tad youthfully dry. Not a great early showing for this cuvée , as its fruit is in the deep background.
