Note di degustazione
Full ruby-red. Vibrant red fruit, floral pastille and orange zest aromas show very good clarity and a piquant note of white pepper. Silky, expansive and seamless, offering gently sweet raspberry and boysenberry flavors that tighten up a bit with air. Fresh, nervy and focused, with silky tannins that fold smoothly into the wine's fruit.

The 2012 Châteauneuf du Pape is 100% Grenache that comes from the lower portion of the Cassanets lieu-dit (which is the only lieu-dit in Provença surrounded on all sides by Côtes du Rhône) and the younger vines in Bedines. First made in 2011 and aged all in foudre, it’s a fabulous, Provençal effort that offers loads of black cherry, blackberry, licorice and sweet garrigue. Medium-bodied, supple, sexy and seamless, drink it over the coming 7-8 years.
100% Grenache. Light crimson. Rather occluded nose. Very sweet start. Straightforward, sweet and chunky and then pretty chewy. A little stolid. (JR)
