Tasted at the André Lurton tasting in London. The 2012 La Louviere Blanc has a lovely bouquet of white flowers, white peach and Japanese yuzu aromas that are very well defined and seem to gain intensity in the glass. The palate is well balanced with a rounded, waxy-textured entry. There is good weight in the mouth with touches of toffee apple and brioche toward the finish that is perhaps a little more advanced than I would like at this stage. Here I actually prefer the bottle under screwcap, which demonstrated much more tension and mineralité on the finish. Tasted June 2017.
Offering melon and honeysuckle notes with some earth and spice, this medium-bodied wine is rich, pure, and beautifully put together. Anticipated maturity: now-2022.| eRobertParker.com.April, 2015

Wine has been made at this estate since the 1300s, but its modern history begins when the Lurton family purchased it in 1965. The property was in disrepair, but the Lurtons have restored the château, winery and vineyards.
