Punteggio 90/100 · Da bere 2022-2032, Neal Martin, Oct 2023

The 2013 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Boudots 1er Cru has a much better, fresher nose than the Volnay Clos de la Barre and Beaune Cras from Jadot this vintage: redcurrant and wild strawberry, crushed stone and light oyster shell scents. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, fresh and tart red fruit and a simple, brisk but satisfying finish. Enjoy this now and over the next decade.

The 2013 Nuits Saint Georges les Boudots has a little more precision and perfume on the nose compared to the Les Saint Georges '13, with bergamot-tinged, brambly red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with silky tannin and crisp acidity, cohesive in the mouth with a tang of marmalade right on the sappy finish. This is the best of Jadot's NSG 2013s.

Some violets and very fruity – much less obvious structure than the Vaucrains. Crunchy, bright fruit. Slightly dry finish for the moment but with lots of attractive fruit too. (JR)
